This blog could be about anything from comments about clients to skill tips or just general baseball things. I guess that is what a blog is. I will also add to this Blog what is going on new with RPBaseball. Who knows what you will find here actually. Please feel free to come back often or add as an RSS Feed. Thank you.

Mat Turner has just committed to work with RPBaseball as an instructor/coach. More information about Mat can be found on the RPBaseball Website at: http://www.rpbaseball.com/matturner.htm
Coach Parr says about Mat, "Mat has been great to work with as a player and now I am looking foward to working with Mat as a Coach/Instructor. His knowlege of the game helped him succeed on the field and will help him a lot as a baseball educator. Much like Coach Parr, Mat has strong experiences as a hitter and as a pitcher. This will make him a very valuable addition to RPBaseball as well"

After our first lesson with you yesterday,we hit approx 200 balls on ballard's field, working on what Reed had brought from the first lesson with you.Tonight we played eastern,Down 2-0 Reed opened the game with a bases loaded double that cleared the bases on a 0-2 count.
Next @ bat DOUBLE
Next @ bat Single, RBI, line drive left, 0-2 curve ball
Last @ bat, bottom of the 7th, game tied @ 5
Reed is the lead- off batter and takes one to dead center off the bottom of the fence for a stand- up triple-----then scores winning run
REED is now 21 for 30, with 9 walks & 3 hbp
since his season started late do to the hand injury
We both thought the time Reed spent with you on sunday was tremendous and are looking forward to our next lesson on sunday !
Reed is a new client from Ballard HS.

The JV Baseball team defeated J-town last night by a score of 10-0 in 6 innings. On the mound, Colin McFarland was one batter away from pitching a perfect game, striking out 8 batters over 6 innings in a dominant performance. At the plate, Hunter Fischer led the way with 2 hits, 3 RBI’s and 3 runs scored. Grant Knight added 2 hits and 2 RBI’s as well. With the victory, the JV team’s record stands at 24-3. The team will be in action again tonight against Waggener at home at 5:00 PM.
I understand the only hitter to get on base was a HBP and that was on a curveball the hitter tried to duck under and it hit him in the helmet over the plate.

Cody (Montgomery) pitched tonight two innings six strikeouts 1 hit and two walks no runs.
Went one for three hitting ripped a double up the right center field. Played Nelson County
12-7.
Tj (TJ Barr) laid down a bouncing bunt walkout to win the game ----second time he has been in that spot. What a game we started out up then tied it up when Shew (Tyler Shewmaker) was on the hill. We went back up and then they tied it when Ridley was on the hill. Then we went back up with a freshman on the hill. That was some game.
(Montgomery, Barr and Shewmaker are all current or former clients of RPBaseball)
