TEAM PRACTICES Typically, the following skills would be worked on with the team. The head coach can request to add other skills or can request one or more of these skills to be eliminated. The head coach can also ask to give emphasis to some skills. Click on the Skill to see details Once all skills are taught, we will go back over any area that seemed to be weak. Some skills will be taught over more than one work out. Other's may be combined. The plan is to cover all areas listed but that will be based on many factors such as weather and schedule problems. Poor weather will stop or cancel the work outs with either the Head Coach or Coach Parr making the decision.
Each Work out will last approximately an hour and a half. The first 15-20 minutes will be warming up properly with "routine" drills. Players that are listed under positions should attend. If you are a dual role player (play more than one position), we will work you in all positions. If your position is not listed you can still attend and run bases but you will not be charged if you aren't in the defensive work.
It will cost each player $10.00 for each work out. There will be no discounts or multiple payments.
If we get rained out during a work out and the work out went at least 30 minutes, there will be no reimbursement of time or money. Only players certified by the head coach may attend and the head coach has the right to make decisions as to what position the player works and/or who participates and who does not participate. Coach Parr will not tolerate poor behavior. Warnings will be issued to anyone that does not behave properly. Players may be told to leave the workout at anytime without reimbursement and without the need of warnings (based on the level of poor behavior) All participants must have parents/guardians complete and sign the permission/waiver form before participation. Failure to pay on the day of the camp will not eliminate the athlete from participation on that day but it would be expected that payment be made by the next work out. Athletes that are participating in the work out should wear baseball type of clothes. Hat, t-shirt, pants and cleats. Athletes will be expected to wear equipment and clothes in a professional manner. If needed, it will be explained.
